Observe & Wonder Lab

The Observe & Wonder Lab is a space designed to inspire students to discover the scientist inside of them!  Using the Nicaraguan phenomenon, students are given multiple opportunities every Big Questions Day where they use the NGSS scientific practices and concepts to explore the natural world around them. 

Through the practices and concepts, students learn to ask questions, make strong observations, use inquiry to learn more about phenomena, and collect data to recognize different patterns in nature.  These authentic experiences help them build a strong scientific foundation, launching their curiosity about nature and fostering their identity as a scientist!
